e-file: Form 2555: For electronic filing, Days in Country cannot be greater than 366. Please enter time in country that is greater than 366 days as 2 or more trips so that no trip is longer than 366 days. I have broken up the stay from 10/9/20 and continuing but I still get the error message. This is for a 2020 tax return.

Solution: Please review Form 2555, page 2, part III and determine which travel periods exceed 366 days in the foreign country. If necessary, make changes to each travel period so that none exceed the 366 days limit. As an alternative, you could override the number of days in the country in screen 31.1, Foreign Income Exclusion (2555) by using the Days in Country [O] field in the travel information grid input for the period that is exceeding 366.
