I am going to import scanned document this year. Also, I am going to utilize the DMS system.

Can anyone recommend a scanner. Currently I have a HP Scan Jet Pro 3600F1 and an old Fujitsu F1 6130Z.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

When I've seen this question asked on other forums, about 90% say Fujitsu. So that is probably your best option.

The "ScanSnap" series is generally lower cost, but they are NOT "Twain Compliant". It looks like Lacerte/DMS requires a Twain Compliant scanner, so it seems like you shouldn't use the ScanSnap series of Fujitsu scanners.

If you need a "Twain Compliant" scanner, you would need a higher end Fujitsu (such as the "fi" series) or some other brand.

You should use the best scanner you can afford. Scan using the highest settings.

We use fujtsu scanners. Most of our are a few years old. Mine is a fi-7160.
