Apartment # not generating in 709 Module
This week we had a client not receive a Gift Tax return we sent them because the slipsheet Lacerte generated did not include their apartment number. Upon further investigation, we saw it was getting left out of the client letter as well. This only appears to be an issue with Gift Tax returns - when I tested it in the 1040 module, the apartment number was included just fine.
From my initial research, the [CLIENTADDRESS] keyword in the letter template should include the apartment number but it's not for the Gift Tax returns. I did notice that the "Apartment Number" box wasn't even there in the 2023 software, we just added them on the main address line so it printed correctly. I'm guessing when this box was added it wasn't connected to the keyword on the back end as it should have been. Is there a fix for this issue?
