The following diagnostic is generating:
The state of Massachusetts requires that the Preparer's FEIN be present for all e-file business returns. If the preparer does not have a FEIN, they will need to use their SSN. Verify that the preparer's FEIN is entered in the Firm Information tab of the User Options. If the preparer does not have a FEIN, then they will be required to enter their SSN in the Preparer tab.
Solution:
Verify that the preparer's FEIN is entered in the Firm Information tab of the User Options:
Setting>Options>Firm Information Fed I.D. Number field. If the preparer does not have a FEIN, then they will be required to enter their SSN in the Preparer tab: Setting>Options>Preparers tab, Double-click the preparer, enter the SSN.
