The following diagnostic is generating: a critical diagnostic. The form 8839 is in the tax return as a carryover. The adoptive child is now over 18 but was under 18 at the time of adoption. I am also getting the diagnostic #15698 that says the 8839 must have been filed for past years to claim the credit. The form was filed the last years but the box on the form says it wasn't. I don't see anywhere to change the no box to the yes box. If right click on the no box there is no jump to input. Please help.
