The following diagnostic is generating: When filing a superseded tax return. Apparently, Lacerte did not the memo that the tax filing deadline for CA residence was extended until 11-16-23. Please advise. Thank you. Charles Laing

    Many diagnostics can be overridden ... did you try?

    As Intuit didn't change any programming last spring for the Oct blanket extension I wouldn't expect anything for this most recent one.

    Thank you for bringing this to the community. Intuit has done poorly this year for California CPAs.

     

    Does this diagnostic mean that a superseded return can't be filed.

    It could be paper filed if efiling won't work.

    Intuit was pathetic in assisting CA Preparers this tax season.  Nothing but EXCUSES, EXCUSES and More EXCUSES.

    Rather than spend hours trying to figure how to file a Superseded Return, I'm just Amending.

    @SFSTaxPrep Agree. And I suppose that CA preparers are their biggest customers. Complaints might take time but I think they will bring change.
