The following diagnostic is generating: Critical for e-filing NC D407 requires FIN Inst EIN, yet the trustee is an individual, not financial institution. The social security number line is grayed out?

      Very frustrating. CRITICAL diagnostic, with seemingly no way to fix

      Lacerte required an EIN for the Fiduciary, in my case the Trustee, which is an individual, who has no EIN. The IRS instructions indicate to leave the number blank if the trustee has no FEIN, but Laceerte takes the position that the IRS requires it for e-filing and their only suggestion is to paper file the return, which no sane person would want to do in 2022 for a 2021 return.
