Alabama resident made a $4,500 qualified charitable distribution from IRA. The net taxable amount is zero. Lacerte critical diagnostic warning 43512 says the Alabama taxable amount on line 4b of Form 40 cannot be zero. Should I just ignore the warning or is there some entry missing?
Solution: Alabama e-file specification do not currently accommodate for the QCD exclusion. Please file the return by paper.
