Preparing a Hawaii estate return. There were distributions this year so a k-1 was created for the beneficiary. The diagnostic says ".....a PDF of the Shareholder K-1 (FORM N-40) for all beneficiaries must be attached" (ref #40824) I have attached the K-1 to the state return and the diagnostic will not clear, and I cannot file, cannot override it. Help please

I am having this same problem. I have tried to manually attach a pdf of the form K-1 and I have tried to do it through the drop down menu. Neither appear to work to resolve the critical diagnostic.

When I use the drop down menu, it tells me the file is corrupted and cannot be attached. Has anyone been able to resolve this?

This sounds like a DIAGNOSTIC that won't clear and does not impact filing of the return. It is informational and the program has no way of telling in what you attached is the correct thing.

If you try to send via e-file, it should go.
