The following diagnostic is generating:
Form 8283 Section A # {PrefixNum} : For electronic filing purposes, the VIN entered for the donated vehicle must be valid.
Solution:
- Click the diagnostic on the Diagnostics tab.
- This will take you to Deductions>Screen 25 Noncash Contributions (8283)>Section A - Donated Property of $5,000 or Less and Publicly Traded Securities.
- In the If donated property is vehicle VIN field check to make sure that the VIN is entered correctly.
