The following diagnostic is generating: I am getting a critical e-file diagnostic stating that Form 3840, Schedule A is required. All of the information requested has been provided (correct proforma from prior year). What else could be causing this diagnostic and will it prevent me from e-filing the return?

    Note - Right-click to forms to data doesn't help much. Takes you to other places.


    Go to screen 57.017 at bottom and enter amounts for Form 3840 Schedule A in properties given up and received.

    I entered min info, addresses & gain deferred. Diagnostics went away.
