The following diagnostic is generating:
A state abbreviation or country name for the spouse's domicile must be used for electronic filing.
Solution:
- Click on the diagnostic from the Diagnostic tab or go to Sate & Local>Screen 55 Part Yr./Nonres. Information>California.
- In California Part-Year/Nonresident information section select the dropdown in the Spouse column for Domicile in 2024 (MANDATORY) and enter the appropriate state or Country.
Critical, will prevent e-file transmission.
