The following diagnostic is generating:
The due dates for the first, second and third estimate payments have already passed and the payments cannot be processed. Please adjust these payments in the input to be marked as either paid or none. The remaining estimate will automatically adjust. Please review the information on the client letter for the remaining estimate and due date.
Solution:
This diagnostic indicates that estimated tax payments for the first three quarters are past due, and Lacerte cannot process them. You must:- From the Detail tab click screen 7, "Year" Estimates input screen.
- Mark the Q1, Q2, and Q3 payments as either:
- Paid – if they were made enter amount as a negative.
- None – if no payment will be made enter -1.
- The system will automatically adjust the Q4 estimate.
- Lastly, confirm the final payment details by reviewing the Client Letter.
