Show Dependent Ages on the Dependent input screen - based on DOB's entered

Lacerte should show the Client's ages and their dependent ages on the input screens (based on dates of birth) so you can easily see the ages for that tax year without having to calculate them.

I agree 100%.   It should go a bit further.  Since I can’t submit a new idea, I am going to add to your suggestion and copy it to a users group:

Please list the age of the person as of Dec 31st of the year we are filing anytime a date of birth is shown on a screen.

It is such a good planning tool that would cost nothing for Intuit to add. I went into depth of areas that I could think of knowing the age.

• RMD requirements

• signing up for medicare even though not collecting until full retirement age of 67.

• For dependents, if you see the age is 19 on screen 2, you can change the Earned Income Credit drop down to Student age 19 to 23. It would be ideal if the system would change this knowing the dependent is age 19.  This saves a step with the diagnostic later on.

• Making notes about child care and DCB

A simple field to calculate age any place the age is required is very helpful in productivity & planning conversations.
