Multi Year Login/Authentication

It seems to me that a login/authentication process could be made so that it is not necessary to continue logging in each time you open or close a program.  If I have logged in and authenticated, it feels like that ought to be able to be catalogued at a minimum by user or mac address so that subsequent programs used do not need another login plus authentication.  It is a frustrating waste of time, especially because frequent updates mean having to do this regularly, in addition to needing to do it in the midst of opening different years.

Text authentication codes from Intuit are often delayed - up to 5 minutes - when I try to log into INTUIT - all Intuit products.  This is frustrating, especially when trying to log into multiple years on Lacerte.

I use an AUTHENTICATOR APP for Facebook, Verifyle, banks, Google... why not INTUIT?  It was strange to me at first - I'm 66; but they're simple, easy to use, and I find them quite intuitive now.

INTUIT should take the burden off themselves and allow us to use an AUTHENTICATOR APP to confirm our identity when we log in to all their products.  An authenticator app shifts the burden of obtaining the authentication code from Intuit to the user (to me!)

Having the code in my possession (on my phone) I wouldn't even mind authentication separately for each year; my preference is simply to avoid these text messages which don't seem to reach me here in rural Missouri.

I'd call this idea a No Brainer... Let's Do It!  Get 'er done!
