🔔Idea submission is temporarily unavailable. We're taking a step back to improve this experience from the ground up. You can still browse, vote, and comment on existing ideas while we work on a better submission experience for you.

Have an Idea? We Want to Hear It!

Your feedback helps shape the future of our products and community. Whether you have a suggestion for a new feature, an enhancement to an existing experience, or an idea to improve the community, the Idea Exchange is the place to share it.

How Does the Idea Exchange Work?

Getting started is easy:

  1. Think of an idea that could improve your software or community experience.

  2. Submit your idea to the Idea Exchange board that best matches your product or topic.

  3. Community members vote and comment on ideas they support or want to discuss.

  4. Our Community Management and Product teams review ideas and update their status as they move through the evaluation process.

Best Practices for Submitting Ideas

To help your idea get the attention it deserves:

  • Keep it focused
Submit one idea per post so others can easily understand, discuss, and vote on your suggestion.
  • Be descriptive
Tell the full story. Explain what problem you’re trying to solve, why the idea matters, and how it would improve the product or community.
  • Choose the right board
Post your idea in the appropriate Idea Exchange board. For example, tax software suggestions should be submitted to that product’s board rather than the Community board.
  • Join the conversation
Be open to questions and feedback from other members. Thoughtful discussion can help strengthen your idea and clarify its value.

How Does My Idea Reach Intuit?

Ideas become especially visible once they reach 50 votes.

  • Ideas with 50 or more votes are shared with our Product teams for review.

  • Ideas with fewer than 50 votes may still be reviewed at Intuit's discretion.

Want to help your idea gain traction? Share it with others and encourage fellow community members to vote.

Understanding Idea Statuses

  • New - Your idea has been submitted and is awaiting review.
  • Open for Voting - The idea has been reviewed and is now available for community voting and discussion. Make sure to share your idea to others; the more votes it has, the more likely it is to be reviewed by our development team.
  • Needs More Information - We're interested, but we need additional details before moving forward.
  • Under Review - Our Community and Product teams are actively evaluating the idea and exploring implementation possibilities.
  • Accepted - The idea has been approved and work is underway to bring it to life.
  • Closed - This idea isn’t considered an enhancement and we will not be moving forward with this idea.
  • Phased Roll-Out: Implemented - The idea has been implemented and continues to be improved over time.
  • Implemented - Success! The idea was submitted by a community member and approved. The idea has been implemented into the product or community.

What Happened to My Idea?

Ideas that do not reach 50 votes within three years may be archived. If your idea is archived, you're welcome to review newer discussions and submit updated suggestions if appropriate.

Thank you for sharing your ideas and helping us improve. Your feedback plays an important role in shaping the future of our products and community!
