accounts receivable module

Since updating to the 2025/2026 version, I can no longer search for customers by entering their last name.  It always takes me to customers beginning with the letter A.  Prior to this latest update, I could start spelling the last name, for example, Jones, and it would sort customers with the letter J and make it quick and easy to create the invoice or post the payment.

Hi @The1CPA thanks for posting in the Community and sharing about no longer being able to search for customers. Could you tell us where in EasyACCT you are trying to search for the customer.

In the Accounts Receivable Module I create invoices and post payments to invoices.  When entering either, my default setting is the enter the customer ID.  All my customer ID's begin with the number 13 followed by the first letter of the customer's business name or individual's last name and then a sequence of other numbers.  So if I'm searching for John Smith, I enter 13S and then alt V.  That brings up all customers that begin with an S and lists them in Cust. ID order.  At the bottom of that screen, I can change the view from Cust. ID to customer name.  The view is now all customers that begin with the letter S, but still in Cust. ID order.

Prior to installing the 2025/2026 release, I could change the list from view by "Cust. ID" to "Customer Name" and type in "Smith" in the space next to "Find" and it would take me directly to all my customers with the last name Smith.  Now, no matter what name I type, the list changes to alphabetical order beginning with the letter A.  And, if I try to do anything else, the software closes.

We use that system for customer ID's and have the same issue.  We handle receivables for several clients and each has thousands of customers in our system.  Finding the customer will be extremely time consuming until this issue is fixed.  Of course, I'm not comfortable recording current transactions since we're seeing that the payment history has disappeared, which means January statements can't be processed.  Support says that these issues are general fixed withing 24 hours of being reported, but I see posts from weeks ago and those issues have not been resolved.

Hello @The1CPA ,

There is a new release of EasyACCT now available – Version 2025.1.10.

This release includes the following items below:

  • GL report is showing incorrect information from sales Journals
  • EasyACCT Client transfer does not give an option to transfer in payroll transactions
  • EasyAcct is sorting by the first number on Employees, and Vendors

We know this release does not cover all concerns that have been raised, but we wanted to keep you updated on the progress being made. We will continue to share updates as more become available.

Thank you!

Kathi

I noticed the same thing with the A/R not showing the names but going to the beginning of the alphabet.  The problem that I am having with Intuit Easy Acct Business is that since updating to the 2025/2026 version when I go to print the reports for A/R GL distribution and Summary with the account numbers for the month of December or any time frame last year, it comes up with "No records for the dates indicated"!!!  This is truly a problem and needs to be remedied before I can move on and close out last year or start a new this year!  I spent more than 4 hours on the phone with customer service last Friday, January 2nd and still has not been resolved today!  I'm not at all happy with this company and may ask for a refund if it's not resolved by tomorrow!!!
