When I tried to print a W-3 for 2024, it has the year 2014 on it. Has anyone else had this issue? When will it be fixed? There are no updates available yet.

Sounds like you might need a DeLorean and a flux capacitor to get it printed correctly until they get it updated.

Yes,

The idiots that update our programs are incompetent.  They finally after 20 years got the 940 form on time, found another way to screw their valued customers by messing up the W3.

Them password protecting the new program and their other ways to halt my production are making me think that this is the last year for me to use this software.  This has cause me delay in sending out stuff that I must now hold and wait for updates.   This is costing me time and money.

Intuit, who are you working for?  It sure the hell is not me.

It sounds like you should have changed 20 years ago.

Seriously, why are you still using the software when there have been so many errors over the years?

When I called EasyAcct (Intuit) today, they made it sound like the IRS did not release the 2024 W-3 yet.

Is it an IRS issue or an EasyAcct issue?

The password protection might be an IRS requirement.

The IRS currently has the 2025 version released (filed in early 2026).

It is clearly an EasyAcct issue.

I can't seem to find that the 2024 is available, just the 2025, with the IRS. That is really odd.

If we file w2s electronically now, do we even need the W3?

Happens every year until they update. You can never get your work done early and you have clients screaming for their w2's. I tried to go to another company but got ripped off $6000.00 from Thompson rueter, so I just stay with EasyAcct. It was better before Intuit bought it, but for the money and 30 years of using the same software it's easier.

Can I get your help with this program?  I have been doing accounting for years but primarily using Quickbooks.  I recently got a new client that has this software and I find it embarrassing that I can't figure it out.  Just like everyone else, I'm trying to get W2's etc and a P&L and Balance sheet would be nice too.  They're help line is stupid.  I'm desperate at this point and willing to pay anyone who is familiar with this program to help me understand what the heck I'm doing. You can reach me at 407-733-1158.

I've been using EasyAcct since 2000.  I will not profess to be an expert but I do my way around the program to print the reports you are looking for as long as the data has been entered either through the transaction entry screen or through Batch Payroll.   The program is set up in modules.  In the write up module you can print the P&L and balance sheet.  The payroll reports can be found in the print reports in the payroll module.  W-2s and W3 can be found in the tax reports part of the payroll module.  Most what I've learned about this program I did by doing.  On the other hand I know nothing about quickbooks.

Once again Intuit is flipping their users the double bird when it comes to the W3 update.  They can give a crap about their users.  It is costing me time, as my people cannot finish a complete payroll reporting package.  They must revisit those client's files after moving on to do a partial package on another client.

They do not understand that I cannot bill out what is not done.

Intuit does it all of the time.  That is why they sold you EasyACCT even though it isn't done and doesn't work correctly.
