Q: Does my User Access expire?

Yes, your User Access will expire at the end of the calendar year after the tax year is completed. For example, User Access to complete tax year 2024 returns will expire on December 31, 2025. After the expiration date, you will need a current-year User Access to do prior-year returns.

Q: What happens if I buy more returns than what I need?

With the tiered volume pricing in Intuit ProConnect Tax, you’ll get a lower price per return the more you buy. Tax returns are purchased for a specific tax year. Any unused tax returns will be accessible for up to 3 calendar years after that tax year, but can only be used for said specific tax year. You will need at least 1 User Access for the current year.

Q: What if I want to buy prior-year returns?

You can buy prior-year tax year returns directly within ProConnect. If you are a NEW customer and preparing 50 or more returns, you may qualify for prior-year returns at no charge for your first year. Please call our Sales team at 844-512-8765 so they can help you claim them.

How does Intuit ProConnect pricing work?

Intuit ProConnect Tax is offered as a package or on a pay-per-return basis.

Packages bundle together individual returns with other offerings such as business returns, eSignature, and Quick Employer Forms (1099 capability). Packages allow you to complete your aggregated purchase in one smooth checkout experience. eSignature and Quick Employer Forms are each available for purchase separately at the same price as what is included in the package. The pay-per-return option allows you to purchase upfront a set amount of returns based on tiered volume discounting. The price per return you pay on your first purchase will be your price for the rest of the tax year, and your baseline for subsequent years. You must buy more than 10 returns to lock your price.* Buy more returns upfront to lock in the best price for the tax year. Once you purchase your returns, they’ll show up in your account.

When you e-file or print a return, one return will be deducted from your account, until you use them all.

You can buy more Intuit ProConnect returns whenever you need them.

For package customers, if additional tax returns are needed, the cost is based on the MSRP for the volume tier, and individual and business returns will be calculated separately.

For pay-per-return customers, when you purchase additional returns, you'll pay the same price per return you paid on your initial purchase for the rest of the tax year, as long as you purchase 10 returns or have your credit card charged in December 2025 or January 2026.* Buy more returns upfront to get the best deal.

What happens if I buy more returns than what I need?

How do I pay for my returns and User Access? When will I be charged?

When you’re ready to buy, you’ll need to provide Sales with or enter your credit card information in-product to complete your purchase. If you are purchasing a package, your credit card will be charged immediately. If you are purchasing the pay-per-return option, you will be given a choice to pay for your tax returns and user fees immediately, or have your credit card charged on December 03, 2025 or on January 07, 2026. If you purchase in or after January, then your credit card will be charged immediately.

What if I want to buy prior-year returns?

- Intuit ProConnect tax returns:
  ProConnect tax returns: All ProConnect tax returns are purchased for a specific tax-year, meaning the taxable period from January 1 through December 31 (“tax year”), and are only accessible for use for such specific Tax Year. Unused tax returns can be used for the specific Tax Year purchased for up to 3 calendar years, so long as User Access is purchased for each calendar year (e.g. unused Tax Year 2025 tax returns may be used for 2025 taxes through December 31, 2028). User Access is required to access functionality in ProConnect services (sold separately). ProConnect Tax returns are credited to the Customer Account Number that purchased them and cannot be transferred to other Intuit accounts.
- Inuit ProConnect Tax Packages:
  Purchases of Intuit ProConnect Tax packages for tax year 2025 between 8 AM CT on August 1, 2025, and 6:59 PM CT on Nov. 5, 2025, are eligible to receive a 30% discount off the list price for Intuit ProConnect Tax returns, a 20% discount on Quick Employer Forms, and a 20% discount off the list price for 100 or more eSignature envelopes. Packages are customizable and may be eligible for other discounts depending on the customization. Packages require a minimum of one paid User Access and must include the minimum number of returns and eSignatures displayed. User Access can be purchased for additional users. Each User Access license is for a single user log-in and only provides access for the purchased calendar year (e.g., January 1, 2025 - December 31, 2025).
