Can I still file my 2017 taxes electronically in 2022?

How many years can you file back taxes?

You can file returns up to three years old electronically with TaxSlayer.

This means that in 2023, you can use TaxSlayer to file your 2022 tax return.

Plus you can file back taxes for years 2019, 2020, and 2021.Jul 1, 2022

But here's a bone:

2022 + 2021 + 2020 = Three years.  2020 is not equal to 2017.

Actually, 2022+2021+2020 doesn't equal 3  I think it adds to 6063.  But then again, I don't use Lacerte so maybe that's how Lacerte does the math.  But no matter how you add the numbers together, 2017 is still too far gone to e-file 😁
