Charitable contributions, unless entered directly into the smart worksheet, are not being added to itemized deductions. Also, noncash contributions are not being added.
Moreover, they are saying it's an error when $300 is entered on the 1040 worksheet or $600 for MFJ. Another day, another ProSeries issue. Did the IRS decide to not allow for this any more, or do you enjoy wasting more of my time?
A recent update makes it necessary now to enter contributions on the Smart worksheet. Not sure when you posted this - probably before the Alert was sent out. (1) Solved: Re: Changes to Schedule A Charitable Contributions - Intuit Accountants Community
