    ProSeries Update Deletes data !!

    Just let ProSeries do its auto update thing and now all Principal Business Activity, Principal product or service and Business Code number on 1065's and 1120S's ARE GONE!!

    No one answers the phone (of course) until Monday, so thanks Intuit for screwing up my weekend with extra work.

    My versions:

    I just updated so that I could transmit an 1120S return that had been done earlier.  I didn't have any issues.  But I did open up a few other returns that had already been filed and I am seeing the same issue.  It looks like returns that were rolled over from last year have the issue and returns that were entered in from scratch this year escaped the issue.

    You made me download an update today. After I accepted the update, my Forms 1065, Page 1 A,B&C were deleted. Why?

    We generally do not get enough exercise. Doing a screw up like this at least gets our heart rate up and this is good for our general heart health. 

    BTW- @jmlawlor used YOU, which assumes the responses here come from Intuit. GENERALLY that is not true. Responses come from other users that are crazy enough to spend there time here trying to answer questions that can be answered. This question is one that needs to be answered by the company.  Call SUPPORT tomorrow. The phone number is in the list. They likely are aware of the issue and will correct in a new release soon.

    I reported this issue yesterday.  A tremendous screw up.  Tech Support you guys need to check in on the weekend because the rest of us a rushing to September Deadline.

    I am not updating any remaining computers and because of that we are not allowed to E-File.  Spoke with Tech Support. Hope this gets fixed soon. They are aware.  Supposedly, upper management monitors these community lines during the weekends.

    How about you tell us when we can expect that update?  If this affects weighted average entries then this is a much bigger deal than having to enter a couple of descriptions, and a activity number!

    Intuit has a policy that they will never provide a date - or a range of dates - just in case they don't get it done when they estimated -------------- which would make people mad.

    It looks to me like ProSeries could have been hacked or a virus has infected the software nationwide.  What else could the explanation be for missing Line ABC on 1065.  If that could be missing what next could be missing?

    Intuit has a long history of fixing something and breaking something else while doing it.  This is just another case of keeping their streak alive.

    Guys, I made a mistake also today.  It is a very complicated program.  Let's give a little grace and save the sticks for when things really mess up.  I will be glad when we have a fix.  Have you notice the IRS is answering the phone and the hold times are no longer 3 hours.

    Have you noticed this changing anything other than the product/service entry, and the NAICS code? I haven't yet and praying I don't or this is going to become a HUGE issue! They just love to EF things up before deadlines....SMH

    8pm on Sept 8 2025 I was forced to update again to transmit a return. So Intuit did get the update done in this day. We will see if that is the end of the matter or if something else happens.
