First Form 1065 for this year, and every K-1 has, printed on Line 20, code E*STMT. I entered nothing on the return to trigger it; it doesn't appear on Sch. K in the software, where the other Line 20 codes originate; and there is no statement appearing on the printed page of additional Information for Sch. K-1 for Code E .
Any ideas why it is there? Any suggestions how to get rid of it?

I called Intuit yesterday. It appears it shows up when there is an interest expense on Form 1065. After two hours of trying to figure out if I had made an error, it was concluded that it is a software problem. While they are working on a fix, I am overriding the E code on line 20. My clients don't have "energy property" and I don't have time to wait.
