hi for solar panels do they have to just sign the contract and get credit or do they have to be installed? they signed contract in 2022 but they didnt install them til jan 2023.

Dusty, sorry i was reading the taxbook for guidance and it didnt say anything about "installation" so then i went to the publication on irs website and found my answer sometimes i just like to make sure and ask others for their help sometimes i get overwhelmed and want to ask a peer for help. im all by myself out here trying to do my best.
