Still having problems with the MI 4884. Am double clicking on line 7a for the Deceased spouse's info to enter on the worksheet-name, SS# Date of Birth, date of Death. Also, not remarried, filed jointly, retired bedfore 2013, not SSA exempt, not fire police correction then QuickZoom to Form 4884.  Part 2- Deceased Spouse Information. Nothing is brought foward from the above worksheet??  The State, in a statement dated March 16, 2026  stated that "The form (4884) MUST include: 1 1099R information 2. Deceased spouse's Social Security, 3. Deceased spouse's date of birth."

Am I missing something I haven't filled in?    Is it a software glitch?

Still on form 4884 state of MI. The worksheet info is now forwarding the Part 2 required information however, as required, the State is requiring the “deceased Spouse” box in part 3 of this form checked and the program is NOT allowing this (even though the info is there) without overriding the program which makes it not easy to e-file.

Getting very nervous going into the 2026 tax season with Intuit not being aware of this situation given the State of MI has big problems with this situation.

I don’t do MI returns, but I just thought I would try to help by doing a mock MI return. could you share more details. Wife’s date of death, is husband filing MFJ if wife died in 2025, did husband remarry. Maybe I can help or maybe someone from MI will jump in

Have found the worksheet to forward this info to the form-My bad.  Still worried  about this next season and Intuit to program the necessary box-checking requirements for this form 4884/4884 worksheets or producing an error message on the final checking.
