Internet explorer and Proseries

I've been reading that Microsoft is ending support for Internet Explorer. The last I looked, Proseries still required that the IE program be in the computer but not necessarily the default browser. Does anyone know if this ending of IE support is going to pose a problem for the Proseries program?

When I open links from within Proseries, it used to open IE, no matter what my default browser was...now it chooses my default browser, so Im guessing they are in the process of transitioning away from IE.
