proseries doesn't have my EFIN but should. this results in rejection of e-file

I believe this is the article. You may have to call tech support.  Intuit has to be able to confirm data with the IRS on some level.  I recall the process being fairly finicky.

 

Register your EFIN with Intuit before e-filing

If at first you don’t succeed…..find a workaround
