2026 ProSeries Basic 50 pricing

I’m a small one person shop with about 35 clients and use ProSeries Basic 50 for last several years.
I’ve noticed in the past, new first-time users get a slight discount of $50-60  over my renewal price.
Never has a problem with that.
For 2026 my renewal price is $240 more that first-time purchaser.
Does anyone else think this is a bit outrageous?
I feel like Intuit is trying to take advantage of me because switching software isn’t that easy.
Where is Intuit’s loyalty to their long-term customers?
Hey INTUIT aren’t you using AI to develop your software - that should make it cheaper not more expensive!

Hi @mhs1826 thanks for being a long-time ProSeries customer, and we appreciate you sharing your feedback. We understand it's frustrating to see a renewal price that's higher than a new customer promotion.

We'd encourage you to contact the ProSeries Support team to have your renewal reviewed. They can take a look at your current package and determine whether there are options or features you may no longer need that could help reduce your costs.

We've shared your feedback with the appropriate team, and we appreciate you being part of the ProSeries community.

The official Intuit explanation from a few moderators ago was they reduce the price for new users to help offset the learning curve involved in switching to a new software.  But as a side note, you aren’t the first to voice concerns about the new user discounts and I’m pretty confident you won’t be the last.
