i am working on a clients taxes that choose the 3 year averaging on a retirment distrubtion taken in 2020.   I would think that our program would have carried this to 2021

Disappointing that this is not being forwarded to 2021..   however,  trying to figure out how to enter manually in 2021.   i did pull up 8915E.   and entered where i thought it belonged..  but it isnt flowing to the 1040

anyone seeing this issue yet?

This has been a major topic with these forums. Scroll through and you will find what you seek and more.

To the point, there will be a 8915-F (new) that will handle the 3 year spread. It JUST was finalized by IRS the other day. It will take time for Intuit to get theirs up and running. With all that has been posted, they know they need to get this done.

The IRS is a fan of Sesame Street.  Last year the form was brought to you by the letter E.  This year the letter F is covering the spot.
