      there was an Alert yesterday regarding this.    Sounds like IRS isn't ready yet

          The IRS has announced that they are now accepting eFiled 1040-X returns.

          Pro-Series had the following announcement yesterday, Aug 18:

          "We expect this functionality to be available in ProSeries around August 26.  ....  We will issue another product alert when this release is available."
