Any idea why the Annual Practice Summary doesn't add up? Using proper client status and clients in dbase are correct but # of 1040/1040SR is off badly, some forms show as processed and I don't prepare those forms. Brings in question the validty of the entire report

I've used Lacerte for decades; it has NEVER been accurate.
It particularly has issues with "locked" returns.
We've all complained, to no avail.
What is this Practice Summary feature? The name of that tool seems like it would have some good stuff to pull out and look at, but with your message of it not being accurate - I guess I shouldn't look too hard into this tool? What else can it do? Where do I find it? I searched for practice summary in all of the toolbar drop-downs.
Is this part of the Intuit Practice Management (Karbon) tool?
Highlight all active clients > Print > Database Reports > Summary Reports > Tax Practice Summary.
I typically..in Nov or Dec..glance at the Practice Summary..little sooner this year. My 2017 and 2018 are reasonably accurate..meaning dbase clients and 1040s, etc agree..couple odd forms that says I used..but nothing that bothered me too much. But this year its badly off..and I don't use the "client lock".
Disappointing. Why have it there if its not useful..to some extent. But now reliability comes in question serious.
And 30+ year Lacerte customer..as a CPA..and have generally been very pleased. Now I have a little "glitch" that bugs me.
Maybe @IntuitBettyJo could get some feedback. It appears that this report and most of the database reports are CRAP! Why did it fall apart this year (and last) with no fix in sight?

Why am I searching these out? Shouldn't Lacerte have some records?
