I believe a conservator simply oversees the care of an individual. Check with the court documents to see if they have authority to sign tax returns. I believe a standard 1040 is prepared and signed by the conservator.

Hopefully someone with a more definitive belief will correct me if I am wrong.

Obviously, no one has really noticed - but I've decided (almost two weeks ago) to not really participate here any longer. Apparently, my absence hasn't had much of an impact at all
