Jeff asked that I post this for him as he can't....

I was notified yesterday by Gabi that I would no longer be able to post to this community for 30 days because I broke their rules. I went back to the thread that she referenced and saw that a couple of my posts have been removed. The bewildering part is that I did not say anything derogatory or offensive in either of those posts. Although someone had attacked me and was looking for a fight, I walked away without a fight. I asked Gabi what I had said that broke the rules and in true Intuit fashion all I got was those chirping crickets.
I have spent a lot of years in this community and made a lot of friends -------- some of them were even Intuit employees. But at this point in time I don’t think I will return after my 30 day debt to society has been paid. Over the years Intuit has allowed spammers, scammers, and even the Mumbai dancing girls to post here. But evidently after helping hundreds of people over all of these years, I am not worthy of being allowed to post here. For that, to quote Flo from the late 70s TV show Alice, Intuit can kiss my grits.

Dear Intuit,
While we're not perfect, there's only about 10 or 12 people on this website that actually answer questions. And if I do the math, for Intuit to replace those 10 or 12 people with employees who actually have some tax experience it's going to be rather expensive....so you might be better off sticking with the ones you have rather than trying to get the ones you want.
Hope he changes his mind, and comes back he will be sorely missed.
Considering we have taken the place of Intuit's Customer Service Support Team at no cost to them, we should all leave.
There is a Facebook ProSeries group but many of the questions are very basic: like if my computer is unplugged can I still access the software. But it is an option if this board is not workable.
Our good friend and colleague Iron Man has helped countless tax professionals on this forum, including myself, and I have the utmost respect and appreciation for Iron Man. I respectfully ask our friends at Intuit to reconsider their decision and to reinstate Iron Man. Thank you.

Unfortunately, Intuit and things related to its tax software has never been good at math. And they ignore logical reasoning that is supported by math. Over, and over, and over, and over, and over again.
Come on Intuit......... stop punishing IRonMaN. You are doing a disservice to us by not allowing him to participate in this forum.
You banned him because of comments he made to some Troll . Did you ban the Troll also? Ironic it was comments made in the conversation discussing the Intuit Turbo Tax commercial.
Yeah, and I too kind of miss fighting with Bob! 🤣🤣
I say we unionize!!
Slava Ukraini!
I don't know if Bob got banned, too, or if he's on vacation.
My comment in the thread got deleted. but i didn't get banned. My feelings are hurt. 🙄
This "banning" proves the shortsighted selfserving culture at Intuit. They cater to TT, and yes it is a larger part of their income stream, but what about all the TT people who pop in on this forum to get answers...they are not banned.
Come back Coyote!!!

in lieu of posting my thoughts, comments, and reactions, I am preemptively suspending myself for 30 days to save Gabi the paperwork.
I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving
BYW, there’s an amazing MAD magazine exhibit at the Norman Rockwell Museum in the Berkshires. NRM.org Not easy to get to but worth the trip.
Yes,
F R E E ** IRonMaN **
His advice and needed humor on this forum is invaluable. Does Intuit appreciate its long-time users and give a little slack at times, or is everything regimented?
Free the IronMan
Been there, great museum. Norman Rockwell Museum.
Bruce - I agree. I'm only going to post in THIS thread until Jeff's punishment is lifted.
I would encourage the rest of the 'top 25' to do the same. Even if it doesn't swamp Support with calls (and we will never know...) Jeff deserves our support.
Restore IRonMaN's privilege's! On a side bar, I switched over to ATX. I used ATX exclusively until I came to my current position. When I came to my current position, Proseries was in place. We do mostly fiduciary returns and some individuals tied to those returns. That is what we use Proseries for and now ATX (the individual returns).
@IntuitGabi Just please take the time to review this thread. @IronMan has been a friend to all of us for many years. From Champs to ex-champs, to newbies, he helps everyone. Not to mention, he brings levity and joy to us in terribly stressful times.
Not sure of his 'crime', but his contributions to this board far, far outweigh that transgression I guarantee.

As I was meditating last night 😉 a vision came to me of info that "he who shall not be named" wanted shared :
Everyone that has gone to bat for me - I do appreciate it. And in appreciation, I will add them to my Christmas list. Just let me know how many pounds of lutefisk they would like and and that smell that arrives by way of UPS on Christmas Eve will be their Christmas dinner from their old friends Sven and Ole.
And Jeff, your thanks & appreciation is *all* that I need. I'll take a hard pass on the lutefisk.
I, for one am disappointed in Intuits decision. Jeff has helped countless people over the years and made laugh countless others. Jeff helped me out and I decided to give back because of him.
Intuit is a bit shortsighted in banning or suspending IRonMaN. Intuit chose to decimate their CSR department and has left those of us in these forums to help out other users. Quite frankly the CSR they do employ would be better off answering 1+1 questions than software issues.
At the end of the day "Its your world, boss" - Shawkshank Redemption
Question - with Klingon's you move up in rank by "removing..." your superior officer. Hopefully only temporarily, but do we all move up in Intuit's Levels by IRonMaN's situation?
I see some good speeches here. If any of you ever decide to run for public office I'll vote for you ---------- just tell me how many votes you want me to cast in your favor. 😁
Glad you are back.
Sad this thread was even necessary as you said NOTHING out of line.
I 'know' this is Intuit's forum but since they expect US to handle the vast majority of the questions, maybe they need to reconsider their dictatorial actions.
I do have to say I'm honored that Jeff asked me to share his info during his ban. Especially since it has garnered me SO many votes - Christmas is coming, the Intuit sponsored ACME catalog will be out soon.
Now I'll be able to get everyone gifts. Well, maybe not *everyone* 😉
good news.

Do you feel that it is really an expectation on their part?
