Amended returns

I am trying to electronically file an amended return but when I check that box I get an error that states if I haven't successfully electronically filed the original return then I cannot electronically file the amended return.  The issue is that I did file the original electronically; has anyone dealt with this issue and if yes how do I fix it?  Thank you

You must use the original file that you used for the original return for the amended, not a copy.   

If you made a copy then amended the copy, it wont be able to be Efiled.

If another individual filed the original return (electronically), but our firm found the error and wants to amend the 2019 return are we able to electronically? I receive the error message saying I can not because it was not electronically filed (which is was, but just not by me).
