I am trying to electronically file an amended return but when I check that box I get an error that states if I haven't successfully electronically filed the original return then I cannot electronically file the amended return. The issue is that I did file the original electronically; has anyone dealt with this issue and if yes how do I fix it? Thank you
If another individual filed the original return (electronically), but our firm found the error and wants to amend the 2019 return are we able to electronically? I receive the error message saying I can not because it was not electronically filed (which is was, but just not by me).
