I have a married client that was self employed for part of the year and worked for an employer for the rest of the year. They paid for market place insurance that covered the family for the first 5 months and contributed to a HSA. After the husband was employed, health insurance for the family and a HSA was available through the employer. Form 8853 only allows entries for one plan and also splits the data between husband and wife. How can I handle two HSA plans?

I dont think the 8853 comes into play here, the 8889 is for HSAs.
Does the husbands W2 have a Code W in Box 12? Entering that should trigger the 8889-T to be populated for him.
You'll need to open the 8889-S for the spouse to enter her HSA contributions

The contribution the the HSA the five months self employed goes on the 8889. The distributions from the HSA goes on the 1099 SA. The w2 box 12 code W should flow to the 8889.
