energy credit carryover

Energy credit carryover from prior years is not working for credits used in prior years on 2020 return.

Once the $500 limitation is reached in a prior year, does the program not carryover anymore?

The Limit is, well, a limit.

"If the total of any nonbusiness energy property credits you have taken in previous years (after 2005) is more than $500, you generally can't take the credit in 2020."
