Thanks @cin15 thanks for sharing that informations, it is really helpful and has been given to Development.
Hi @mjjjfisher thanks for letting us know and for posting on this post! We appreciate you doing so.
Already tried the steps referenced in this link. It is not a data issue. It is an EasyACCT issue. Something that changed after version 2025.1.06 is the culprit. This issue is not experienced on the machine running that version with the same restored company. This issue happens on all pc's that have later versions like 2025.2.04 when this company is restored.
Hi @JAWILL80 Thanks for the update! Really appreciate you taking the time to share this information. We will let development know.
We are also having a problem printing vendor checks from Write-up. Vendor checks are set up to print from the General account but the checks are printing with the payroll bank account numbers. None of the updates have fixed this issue.
We are also having problems with the Bank rec bringing in transactions.... some not all clients. We forced the begin balance (Nov) on 2 clients and Decembers imported fine, but on one client it just won't work.
No it's not. It should list your liability for each quarter like what EASYACCT did in 2024/2025 version so we know how much a company owes. Now it only shows numbers in print preview, not the info screen.
Employees whose last name started with Z (some say Y as well) is still excluded in payroll earnings report.
Kathi,
I don't believe the "sales journal transaction" problems are fixed. I believe it is happening during the conversion process when it is processing the files that begin with "cash"(sales journal files). I believe it is zeroing them out. After I converted one of my client files, I copied all of the "CASH*.* files from the unconverted client into the converted client and then the "SJ" files are there. However, they are not included in the "cumulative general ledger" but do show up in a monthly general ledger. Hope this helps narrow down the possible issues.
The bank reconcilation issues are still not fixed.
Could you give us a timeline on when the processing and loading times will be addressed? Our office hasn't been able to get any work done efficiently. We're spending way too much time waiting for the program to load anything.
We had that happen also but we found if we put from .... to .... under the employees it lists them.
Lucius - I had to test a 941 with tax under $2500 to see if it appeared on the worksheet, and you are correct. The quarterly amount of tax should appear on the data entry screen for verification purposes. It correctly does not print on the final printed report if the tax due is under the reporting threshold. Just makes you print a hard copy to verify.
I can't wait for this month to be over.
Is there a timeline for when a new update will take place to fix payroll reports? I have December 2024 payroll checks posting to the payroll journal for December 2025, the December 31,2025 payroll earnings reports and in the December 2025 general ledger. I erased all 2025 payroll checks to see if that would resolve the issue and the 2024 checks are still all posted to 2025. I have checked all of my year ends and none of them have changed.
I have updated to the latest software.
I have installed the update 2025.2.04, and the cumulative general is still not correct, the sales journal entries are not posting.
I'm afraid to try any others.
I have used EasyACCT since 1994, and there have never been that many issues with updating to a new version. Never!
What is going on? And why are these issues not being corrected in a timely manner???
Thank you.
I am having the same problem with payroll reports. Really hoping it is fixed soon.
Exactly! No new companies can be created with just 'unable to open client files etc'
There is no way to transfer financial statements from existing companies
Backup to device does not transfer ' chart of accounts' it also blanks out existing account posting and financial statement data.
Absolutely inexcusable. There needs to be a 100% refund and a compensation for lost time for this fiasco.
First two forms 940 filed last week have finally been accepted. These were filed using QB Desktop, but at least they were finally acknowledged. Now on to EASY.... Fingers crossed
Social Security sent an email stating the following.
Starting 2025 Tax Year, the following Employer Information fields (RE/RCE record) are required for electronic submissions. Submissions will be returned if any of these fields are left blank:
Do you know what the CF/SF Information is? I went into the "COMPANY INFO" and added the email to address the other Diagnostic issue that generated along with the CF/SF Information, but am not sure what to correct for this.
Even this thread is a mess. I was replying to another post!!!
Could it be a State Field or City Field? not sure what it would be asking for.
Missing CF/SF Information - Go back into "COMPANY INFO" and on the main tab make sure you have a state and a state ID number listed in "Default Withholding Entries". Unless you do not want to participate in the "combined federal/state filer program". Then you need to click on the "electronic filing" tab next to the main tab and uncheck the box under 1099 filing information. I'm not sure what else to try. Hope this helps!
Sales journals still not showing up on reports.
Any word on when Intuit will get the sales journal issue fixed? I have given up on this program and any hope that Intuit will actually fix EVERYTHING that is wrong. I am over it. I have wasted hours on the phone with them and additional work hours due to all of the "bugs". I am exhausted and it's not even the end of January. This is NOT the way to start a new tax season.
Still having bank rec problems, we were able to recreate and fix but when copied into our working directory on the server.. it was there... but when another work station got into the same data it was gone. Anyone else having this issue?
My staff has been preparing 941s and 940s. They have all calculated and printed correctly. The data is shared on a server. When I access the data to review and e-file the 941, it is completely different from the original data that my staff accessed and I must override almost all of it to get it to match what is correct. I'm wondering if it is a data access issue between two different users.
The update last Thursday fixed our sales journal issues Call support they can walk you thru it
why doesnt employer taxes post correctly in payroll journal?
Well I don't know how much of our easyacct program is still not working, but information return system is screwing up 1099s royally. I haven't done any yet but some of our staff have & say that 1099-nec prints in the 1099-misc box & the 1099-misc box prints incorrectly as well. These are all on the 1096. From easyacct, I do know our employee listing in the payroll computation screen still doesn't show their entire name. I know there are so many more things wrong, but I don't have all night to list them. I agree with the slowness & the not responding for sure. Still got a ways to go Kathi before most people will be satisfied & time is running short. I agree with everyone else that I will not be paying any late fees for submitting 1099s & w2s late due to the program being lackluster. I don't care what it takes but y'all have to get this program straightened out.
In the Manual Entry screen, select Entry Options from the bottom row of buttons. Then check the top box "Allow Access to Direct Deposit Transactions." You will them be able to see them in Manual Entry and have the option to "code" them as Direct Deposit when entering manually after entering the check number.
Some users are unable to make a backup or copy from one location to another, this seems to be when data is stored on a server. My staff tried copying for backup purposes and were unable to. I was able to copy from the server to my desktop, then I tried copying back to the server from my desk top so that the data is stored somewhere safe. IT WILL NOT COPY FROM MY C DRIVE TO THE SERVER. Which means that if something were to happen, we could not restore data to the server for staff to use.
Another user had already rebooted server. I got around the backup issue by creating a specific folder on the server to hold data for the client, then did a manual copy and paste from my PC to the server folder. It seems to work. We really should not have to reboot every time someone uses a client, but this is becoming more frequent. We reboot our PCs every night before we go home. The server does get rebooted, but it is such a long process and shouldn't have to be done all of the time.
Prior to last week's update, I was able to print a cumulative general ledger. None of the sales were listed on that report, but I could at least see the entire year of expenses on any account. The "update" will not allow a cumulative general ledger. I get an error code of 0. I can see one page of the cumulative general ledger and it shows that my general ledger account number for the bank account is "not in the chart of accounts". The update definitely made the cumulative general ledger WORSE! When is this going to be fixed? When is the next "update"? Did the programmers take yesterday off? They should have been working like the rest of us. You have put me behind for tax season. WHEN IS THE SOFTWARE GOING TO BE FIXED???? And I mean ALL of it fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am still unable to efile 940s. When is that expected to be fixed? Why were we able to efile 941s and Intuit "held" those until IRS opened efile on those forms and Intuit is not able to "hold" 940s until the IRS is ready? Could it be that it is not an IRS issue but an Intuit issue? Tried to efile a 940 this morning. Still getting the same error code. WHEN IS THIS ISSUE GOING TO BE FIXED?
We found that copying the company to your c: drive is the best fix for now. We can actually get some reports printed. Just have to make sure no changes are done to the network version before you copy back. Still can't file form 940 and it's the 20th of January. If they can't get it fixed and available in the next day, we are not going to be able to meet the deadline 😞
The sales that were entered in the 2025 sales modules are still not there. It's like they were deleted or something. This morning I was trying to enter 2026 sales in the sales modules in 2026 and I found the 2025 sales. The 2025 sales are appearing in the 2026 sales modules.
A/R is adding credits to customer accounts that shouldn't have credits.
A/R - still can't see what I am typing when entering invoices or payments unless I take it out of "fit to screen"
Payroll - employee listing still in order by 1st number.
Software is still really, really, really, really slow.
A/P - can't void/delete a check - gives me an error message "Error updating AP Transactions"
I tried printing the cumulative general ledger yesterday and it gave me an error message "The following error has occurred: With the error number: 0 Please exit EasyACCT and try again" I still can't print the CGL.
I can manually copy some clients, some I can't. Every time we think we have a work around it doesn't work on a different client. We have had more luck copying to new directories vs copying to existing ones. It's taken a combo of manual copy, restore back up and easy transfer to get a workable copy but then we still have data loss on "some" not all, bank recs after we had that the issue was resolved. On my own file, I've lost an entire year of sales journal entries, I haven't gone through the restore or copy etc to try to recover from that one yet, as it's mine and I need to worry with clients right now. We haven't had the same payroll issues as others (as of yet) but we did lose 2 payrolls in 2026 but they stayed after we manually re entered them. Really puzzled by what works and what doesn't.....
We switched to Tax Bandits for all 1099 filings a couple of years ago. It is very easy and user friendly. The cost is reasonable as well.
Please post release notes for version 2025.2.05.583
Just updated my program and initial testing shows that the program is still very sluggish. In fact, it seems like it's taking longer than it did before. I didn't think it could get any worse than this, yet here we are. Everyone else should update with caution.
I believe the CF/SF issues are referring to the Combine Federal/State Filing program. I'm having the same issues, Info Return System won't create the transmission file, or it it does, there are these diagnostic CF/SF errors and the when I attempt to access transmit electronic files module the whole thing crashes and shuts itself off. All transmission settings are the same as the prior years'.
At this point I HAVE NO IDEA HOW WE WILL EFILE ANY W2s or 1099s.
HEY INTUIT, CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE LET US KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS.
No problems on our end with efile for W2s and uploading to BSO. Creating a TXT file for that. Cannot create the 1099 transmission file. However, you can download an excel file from IRIS to input all the information for 1099s if needed and upload that to IRIS. (That is our workaround). tie consuming but its worth not waiting for fixes.
