Payroll still missing after 04 update. how do i review if they are there are not since i have direct deposit with auto posting. I am unable to go back through manual processing to review checks. MY TAXES ARE DUE TODAY. and still missing 2 payrolls in December
Can we file 940 and 941 yet?
For those afraid of updates:
1. Payroll missing previously is back, like Dec 2025's payroll. Do suggest do a restore for the very last backup file right before it is converted to the first version of 2025/2026. Restore it and open it and let it convert by the newest 2025/2026 version. I assume one of the 2025/2026 versions damaged the company file while restoring.
2. Loading, review and print processing time obviously and slightly shorten.
3. Employees whose last name started with "Z" are still not listed on Earnings Report and their earnings are thus excluded, though the total on last page is correct.
4. Unable to print earnings report sorted by Department.
Please add more what you have found.
Installed the latest update and we are STILL experiencing these issues (all of these issues are not present on release 2025.01.06):
-After restoring client's backup, attempting to run an earnings report is unsuccessful. Returns the message : The following error has occurred: With the error number: 0 Please exit EasyACCT and try again.
-Existing client company maintained on our system: attempting to print the a Balance Sheet financial statement returns this error: Printing Options Error: 6 Overflow. After clicking OK and returning to the Employees information part of the program, all employees are gone.
Hi @amihaly thanks for commenting on the release post! As @Lucius stated we would recommend restoring a back up of the file and then check the payroll. Here are some support articles that would help with this:

Still having issues with accounts receivable customers list. The customers are back but you cant search by name and if you put in the company number it crashes. General Ledger accounts still missing!
Error code 54 still shows when trying to efile form 940. No acknowledgements received yet on forms 941. I have e-filed a form 941 through QB desktop and it was accepted. Can you tell us why we are not receiving acknowledgements yet? Thank you.
Hi @anonymous2026 Thanks for posting here! 940s are not able to be e-filed yet, 941s are being held and will be forwarded as soon as e-filing is ready for the program.
Kathi,
So this update does not address the extended process/print times? That is the biggest issue for us.
They didn't address any of the issues we are having.. still extremely slow, sales journals are not posting, missing payroll entries..
Hi @VPMgmtMike Thank you for your comment. A previous release included updates intended to address processing and print performance; however, based on feedback received in the community, this behavior is currently being re-evaluated.
Hi @kwangmoklee Thanks for commenting on this post! For the payroll missing, we would recommend restoring a prior backup of the file. @Lucius comment is a great suggestion. We would then check Payroll and Sales Journals. Here are some helpful articles for restoring a backup:

If there is still something going on with Sales Journals and Payroll, please report back here so we are able to capture the feedback and report back to the appropriate teams.
I am sorry but this update is a joke. It fixes none of the real issues we are all having and all these reports and such are all due in 2 weeks, with no hope of meeting these deadlines on time. Is intuit going to refund all their clients some portion of the purchase of this program that does not work? It is costing us all hours of headaches and staff hours?
I already tried restoring multiple backups from last year and all are missing payroll earnings for one employee.
Did you try restoring the backup in the folder named "BCKUPCOMPANY24?" This folder should locate in the same Data folder for your 2025 company files.
did you print the earnings report by specifically asking for the first employee and the last employee in the range selection?
Out of genuine curiosity and transparency, are there any testing being done in the back-end before these updates are being released? What does that process look like? We are constantly being told that it's being looked into and it will be fixed, but it seems like these updates do not address the vast majority of the issues that are supposedly being conveyed to your developers/engineers.
The update the end of last week greatly improved the processing time. However, the update on Monday put it right back to taking FOREVER to process or change screens.
Out of curiosity, did the developers use AI to program the new year's program, rather than real people?
Something obviously went horrendously wrong with seemingly basic updates, and I'm wondering if it is AI-induced. I suspect many/most EasyACCT users will be looking at other options for next year.
If AI-programming is where Intuit is heading, I want to get out now before this craziness causes the tax programs a major meltdown.
California DE 9 and 9C electronic processing isn't working
It appears that the missing employees in payroll reports was resolved in today's update. I was told that another update may be coming out tomorrow (Friday) that will hopefully resolve the A/R GL distribution problems.
Do you think Intuit is doing this on purpose so everyone switches to Quickbooks (or so they hope) and they no longer have to support EasyAcct? They have struggled with updates for years but nothing like this.
This has fixed nothing. The system is still extremely slow. Also we have two companies showing 2024 payroll amounts in 2025 and 2025 showing in 2026 and then Jan 2026 is showing in 2025, with no fix insight and we can not create any W2's, 941, nothing. YTD is incorrect on the reports. Will there be a fix before the deadline?? i was told my case was resolved but then it said for deleting checks in manual processing, which is not even what my initial call was about! That was what the rep noticed as we were working through the steps to fix the initial issue.
We just installed the 2025.2.04 update and are still having problems with the Bank Reconciliation module. Did not import check entries and then it crashed. Errors are bad file name or number and the a Runtime error 55. Is this still an ongoing problem or is there something else we need to do?
might as well start over then i installed the program in november
it cant be this bad how are we supposed to do any quarterly year end or month tax calculations. i am missing a payroll in november and 2 in december. the fines for not pay the correct amount should be covered by intuit. not sure if i should re run the payroll for the missing weeks or if it still calculated some where and could double up. WE NEED SOME SOLID ANSWERS HEREEEE. We are trying to conduct business and this program is just a waste of time. OWN UP AND FIX IT
I have not noticed many of the issues in your response. However, I have not seen any progress at all on the Accounts Receivable Module. I still cannot enter an invoice for an existing client by finding their name. I have to go through every client that begins with the letter of their name, for example S, to find Smith. I have almost 400 customers that begin with the letter S. Other issues still not resolved:
- No payments are posted against invoices. Invoices and the amounts are the only things there. I'm having to go through deposit tickets and post payments again to figure out who owes and how much. Some clients I've had to completely delete and reenter to get a correct statement to print.
- payroll tax tables are still 2025 tax tables
- I have one company with an employee that will not appear on the Earnings Report. I can run a payroll journal and he is there, but never does he appear on the Earnings Report.
Good afternoon Ms. Kathi,
It appears to be overwhelming.
Thank you for this message.
Luis
INFORMATION RETURN ISSUESSSSSSSSSSSSSS -still having issues with electronic file creation, get various diagnostics error having to do with 'missing company email' (we've never entered emails before with no problem) and also errors "CF/SF Information -- state info missing for CF."
W2's don't seem to get these errors but it doesn't matter, as once I attempt to access the transmit electronic return module the files aren't there and the entire program SHUTS OFF. Have now downloaded update 2025.2.04. Headed into JAN 16th with no idea if it'll be possible to efile any W2s or 1099s via this program. Wow.
This has been a major theory of mine for a while now
Hi @JAWILL80 Thanks for posting here! We have captured the feedback and appreciate you leaving this for us. We checked with support on the Printing Options Error: 6 Overflow and were given a support article that might help with this:
How to resolve "Runtime Error 6: Overflow Error" in EasyACCT
I filed two 941s today and both were accepted. I had previously filed 5 other 941s and I have received nothing on those. Will Intuit be sending those off as well or will we need to refile those? The older ones were submitted on 1/12 and 1/13. It's only been two days but it seems like a lifetime. Any word when the 940s will be allowed to file? Thank you.
I am trying to file 940 now, but they don't let me and tell me to come back later.
It's not available yet for some reason.
Hi @vscpanm Thanks for asking about the 940s and 941s. 940s are not able to be e-filed yet and will produce Error code 54 when trying to e-file. 941s are able to be sent, however are being held and will be forwarded as soon as e-filing is ready for the program.
Hi @Lucius thanks for posting here and letting us know what is and is not working. We apreciate it and are capturing all feedback and passing it along to Development.
@FRUSTERATED Thanks so much for letting us know what is still happening! We apprecaite it.
Hi @SK AA A previous release included updates intended to address slow performance; however, based on feedback received in the community, this behavior is currently being re-evaluated.
Thank you for asking abou the testing, process behind it and the feedback given to Development. We appreciate the curiosity.
Testing is performed prior to each release. While we do not have visibility into the specific testing measures or test runs, we do know that a build is provided and validated prior to release. Some concerns are not consistently reproducible across all environments and may only surface once an update is in broader use.
We also recognize the concern that feedback may not appear to be reflected in every update. While not all reported items can be addressed in a single release, feedback shared here is reviewed and used to assist with ongoing evaluation and future updates. We appreciate you continuing to share your experience, as it provides valuable visibility into real-world use
When restoring backup to a network drive employees are missing. also getting no records exist for this range when trying to pull earnings reports and payroll journal.
should not that if file is restored to local drive it works fine
Hi @vscpanm Thanks for letting us know about the "unable to create a company back up. Files are currently being updated by another user." warning that is happening. This could be caused by a background process on one of the computers, the server, syncing or real-time scanning software. When this message occurs we would start with rebooting all computers including the server and then try the backup again.
@bigburg Thanks so much for letting us know and posting here. We have captured this feedback!
