Tax Payments Worksheet Error

Anyone else find that their total 2024 Estimated Payments for their state paid 100% in 2024 are showing as all being paid in 2025 at the bottom of the worksheet?  My return was from PA.

I just transferred a 1040 file from ProSeries Professional 2024 to ProSeries Professional 2025 and all the the 2024 estimated tax payments are flowing through to Schedule A as if they were all paid in 2025 (which was not the case).  Is this being fixed?  I saw a similar issue on a TurboTax forum (which is also an Intuit product).

Hi @taxmanbrian and @jmmncpa Thank you both for posting in the Community about the 2024 Estimated Payments. This has already been reported to our Development team and will be fixed in a future update of ProSeries.

Kathi_at_Intuit-thank you for the follow-up. I will be away from my office for a few days but when I return, I will review the updates.

Hi Kathi_at_Intuit - I had the opportunity to review the tax forms after the updates and unfortunately, the issue has not been resolved.  I did run the updates through multiple times.  I also reviewed whether it was because I had entered my information as a "self-prepared" return vs a client return and in both instances, the Estimated Tax Payments for the whole year are appearing as if they were paid after 12/31/2024.

Hi @taxmanbrian Thanks for getting back to us and letting us know. When you ran the through the updates did you also try to repair the update (Using the tool in the ProSeries Tool Hub section)?  If not, we would try this, and if it was tried we recommend contacting ProSeries Support as they would be able to remote in and take a look with you.

Just curious if you checked a file that was previously transferred or if you checked a file that was transferred after the update.  My guess is the update only works on files that got transferred after the update happened.  I don't have a way to confirm this but I can confirm if I now transfer a file from 2024 to 2025 it is working correctly for me (it wasn't working previously).  Just a thought in case you are checking a file that was transferred prior to the update.

Thank you jmmncpa for your recommendation. I took a client who I knew had the error and deleted them from my list. I re-transferred them from 2024 and the update worked. I then took my own self-prepared file and did the same and it worked also. Because I had did minimal prep work on my other clients, I deleted all the files and then reloaded. So far, all is well. One serious concern is that hopefully with every update, I will not be forced to do this each time. Again, thank you!
