Q2. Can I just upgrade my Windows 10 to Windows 11?
A2. Yes. Microsoft provides three options for installing or creating Windows 11 media including (limitations apply);
Q3. What are the differences between memory requirements for updating to Windows 11 and the memory requirements to run ProSeries?
A3. While Windows 11 indicates you need at least 8 GB of RAM (16 GB recommended), the ProSeries program’s minimum requirement is 12 GB (16 GB recommended). This information as well as additional program requirements can be reviewed below.

Q4. Will I be able to run my prior year programs on Windows 11?
A4. For the most part, this will not change. You can run 2016 on a 32 bit machine. Beginning with ProSeries 2017 all newer versions must be run on a 64 bit machine to meet the minimum memory requirement.

Q5. Are there any options available if I’m not able to upgrade to Windows 11 now?
A5. Your PC will remain operational; however, support for Windows 10 has been discontinued. After October 14, 2025, your Windows 10 device will no longer receive security updates, and Microsoft will no longer provide technical support for this version.
If you need more time before moving to a Windows 11 device, a one-year Extended Security Updates (ESU) program for $30 USD is available through Microsoft to help protect your Windows 10 device.
