Just what the title says. Takes more time to get an extension to file than to do some simple returns.
While complaining.... Why does business returns have a simple chart to check for each state, extension, etc. Yet individual returns require scrolling and scrolling and multiple dropdowns to select each state. This should be standardized along the platform.
I can go on and on....
My suggestion to Intuit - get a long-term tax preparer from every state to sit down with Intuit and go over all the tiny little problems that ProSeries has with both Federal and State returns, the software, and the support. Work with the programmers and Make ProSeries Great Again [MPSGA].
Payment would not be required, just stoock options.
If it was free software my stock options wouldn't be worth anything.
ProSeries is a pimple on Intuit's posterior, when it comes to stock price (which is down 35%, year to date). It's all about TurboTax and the oddly-named acquisitions intended to diversify it from tax preparation.
Getting the CA extension to EF is such a hassle, WAY too many things to checkmark and complete and NO kind of acknowledgment of the electronic payment having been sent or accepted, not reassuring at all.
UGH I just gave up trying to get a CA extension to work, and made them send a check!!
