Everything tastes like chicken.  Why bother catching something that tastes like chicken when chickens are readily available?  But I admire your perseverance - part of what makes a coyote successful!

As to the chicken comment, you answered your own question.  Haven't you ever heard the old line "if it was easy, everybody would do it".  When was the last time you walked into a grocery store and didn't see chicken?  But name the last grocery store that you saw selling roadrunners.
