Anyone know if the IRS plans to send out a notice to taxpayers in early 2022 who received the advanced child tax payments in 2021?
I have zero interest in asking my 1,000+ clients if they authorize me to set up an IRS account or to access their info - too much of a hassle. Wish IRS made it simple to get the info (think GET MY REFUND where you only need a few pieces of info)

Hope I see more of these than I did the EIP letters
Yes in January.

I wonder how many will actually save letter 6419 and bring it in? How many will lose letter 6419? How many will have selective amnesia?Hmmmmmmmm.😀
In June I sent a worksheet with instructions to track the ACTC payments for all my clients with dependents. I'm expecting 25% will actually use the worksheet. 10% will have the letter. As for the rest of them.... I'm going to refuse to complete the tax return without documentation of payments received.
