ROTH IRA OWNING AN LLC

GA TAX
Level 2

Hi Guys,

Can someone assist me with the below:

ROTH IRA can be a beneficial owner in an LLC Or NO?

What happens to the gains reported on the Partnership? Do they flow to the individual or are these tax exempt?

Yes. It has to have a Trustee that allows this.

The LLC income may be UBTI, subject to tax, requiring Form 990-T.

The more I know, the more I don't know.

@GA TAX  It is possible that a Self-Directed ROTH IRA account can invest in an LLC or a partnership.  What name and ID# is appearing on the K-1 given to you by your client?
