Hi,

I have a question about Qualified 2020 disaster distributions from retirement plans with electing to spread the taxable amount over 3 years not automatic transfer to tax 2021. Do we have to  re-input form 1099-R from 2020 or wait for Pro Series update the software?

Best regards,

Trung Nguyen

You wouldnt enter the 2020 1099R in the 2021 program. We have to wait for the 8915F to become available to report this years 1/3 of the distribution.

Will the information automatically populate from last year's return?  There is no way we can remember if someone took the three-year option and I doubt many clients will remind us.
