client lives in NJ, worked for a few months in NY. Collected unemployment benefits from NY state.
Do I need to file a NY city tax return for him?
I see a form for NY city (not ready; not marked for e-filing) when I try to e-file his returns.
Have never had to do this form before.
Not sure if the NYC return is needed and if yes, how to file it.

There is no NYC tax if he was not a NYC resident
form 1127 is for NYC employees who live outside of the boroughs. Is that the case? He would have received a separate form for 1127. Fwiw, an 1127 is not considered a tax
My question was about the NY City tax return Form 1127, which it seems, I had accidentally opened. Since I did not it in this case, I removed it and that solved the problem.
Do appreciate your feedback though. Thank you
