Letter 6419

Peteman
Level 2

Hi guys,

My clients have never received money from the IRS for their 3 kids and they did not send them letter 6419.

They logged in to their IRS account and there is no info there also...

Did any of you have this situation?

Should I just put 0 for money received and 3 in the dependents column on the form 8812?

Or should I spend hours on hold with the IRS and report this situation to them?

Thanks

What you would you report to the IRS?  That their online account is correct, that they did not receive any payments?

It seems like you have the triple confirmation to enter $0.  They did not receive it, no letter saying they received it and their online accounts don't show any payments.

"and report this situation to them?"

Yes, you report it to the IRS. And they provide a form for that: 1040.
