Has anyone heard of a content creator for meta that is paid by facebook?
I have a client that received 1099 misc income not sure if it is misc or should this go to a schedule C
apparently she creates something and if people look at it she gets paid. Not sure how to handle this any thoughts?
Thanks
sounds like compensation for providing a service, Sch C.
Could be a trade or business, and then again, it could be royalty income to report on Schedule E. Which is probably why they issue a MISC and not a NEC. For an interesting discussion of tax treatment for intellectual property, although from 10 years ago, see
