I have clients that are divorced, have been for years. I still prep both returns. Using Link for the first time this year. I did one spouse return, all good no problem. When I went to invite the other spouse with her individual link, it completely blended with the first spouse's file! I deleted the second spouse's file, re-imported it from last year, changed the name of the tax file, changed the email address....and it still combines the files!
Any ideas how to fix this?
Have you tried editing the client within Link itself? I'm new to ProSeries and this is year 1 for me. With that said, I am using Link and there have been times where I've edited the clients email address within Link and not on the Info Worksheet. It worked in my case. Just a thought.
